Learning how to set up ax210 wifi in manjaro

Hi everyone, I am new to linux and need help setting up the new ax210 intel pcie on my manajro desktop.

This is the following I need to do. let me know if I am missing any steps

  1. check my manjaro kernel.
  2. check to see if the network card was detected.
  3. check if ilwifi was installed.

Anything tip would help. Thank you.

So … what have you done and what have you found?
1-3 are easily answered by inxi, which is generally a good first stop for support.

inxi -Fazy

Thank you. From the command inxi -Fazy.
If there is an intel pcie card wifi6 that is compatible I can return and buy it.
Please advise thank you.

It looks like the card is detected.
But you are on a very old kernel.
Is this a recent install?
I might suggest you use a current image, as I dont think any recent ones would ship a kernel that old.
In whatever case I also suggest you use a newer kernel. (5.15, 6.1, etc)

And also do your BIOS update.

If you have search the forum you have had found many topics about that chip. In one of them is noted that kernel support was introduced in 5.10.

Thank so much, I will follow your instructions. Thank you so much. I have searched the forum but though 5.4 kernel was a newer version than 5.15. Now I know the number schemes are different.

Thank you so much. I will follow your instructions. Unlike MS Manjaro has been running smoothly for the last five years, that is why my kernel is that old.

Thank you so much.

Updated to 6.1 kernel, ax210 worked like a champ, my old wifi was getting 15 mbps, ax210 getting 680mbps download speed.
