Why are firefox and chromium extensions in AUR?

There are many browser extensions like this. I know that I can download extensions directly through browser, but I wonder why are they in AUR. I also installed some of them but none of them worked. Are they usable?

Some browser extensions have packages in either the repo or AUR. My guess would be to make it possible to have them installed by default on systems.

Just restarted the browser. done, extensions are working. My bad :expressionless:

In Firefox, I disabled and then enabled to make it appear in the toolbar.

i know some extensions that aren’t available in the AMO, guess you could have them in the repo instead of manually installing and updating an .xpi.
Strits guess sounds plausible, too ^^
