Monitor has a stripe in the image

Hello everyone,
after a fresh install of Manjaro XFCE, the right screen (3 screens - notebook + 2 monitors) has a stripe on the bottom half. I saw in the graphik hardware configuration (UHD Graphics 620 Intel Corporation) that 3 display controllers are displayed in the submenu:

  1. video-linux is installed
  2. video modesetting is not installed
  3. video-vesa is not installed
    Should I install 2. and 3. too?

For intel cards the modesetting usually is the best.

You can add i915 to the MODULES array in mkinitcpio.conf - then rebuild

sudo mkinitcpio -P

No.

But you didn’t provide any more info, so you could do that, rather than anything else…

I typed in a Terminal ans installed. And now? :face_with_peeking_eye: P.S.: I wanted to say what shell I else do! :innocent:

I did!

Unfortunately the problem still exists. How can I switch to video mode setting? Or should I do something else first?

P.S. I managed to switch to the video mode setting driver in the graphical module. Unfortunately no change. The right monitor still shows an approximately 1 cm wide horizontal shadow at the bottom of the image.
Now what could be the reason?

Do you use a Dock? If so see the thread for instructions to disable it.

That was exactly the problem! I was able to deactivate the shadow in the fine settings for window management. I switched the graphics driver back to video-linux
Thank you very much!

Hello again,
I would like to say that I have reinstalled the video modesetting driver. The reason is that the left screen sporadically went black. Now I’m testing with the open source driver!
