That depends on BIOS/UEFI.

My system doesn’t turn on at all when I go into Suspend mode. Even if I press the keyboard, mouse, power button 
No, 1. Suspend don’t have to be so deep, that it deactivates keyboard/touchpad/mouse. 2. A key combination is not possible, if the UEFI doesn’t support it.
When it is in standby, you interact with the BIOS first to start everything.
