Build from src failed insufficient space - safe to remove from /var/tmp?

I tried a couple of times to install electron9 through Pamac but failed due to lack of space. I have since installed the bin version with no problem. However my /var/tmp/pamac-build is 15.9GB. Is it safe to just delete that dir or is there a better way of going about it?
Thanks.

Yes, you can clean the build files from Add/Remove Software via Preferences > AUR > Clean build files or run:

pamac clean --build-files

See the following for more options:

man pamac | less -p CLEAN

Or:

pamac clean --help

Yochanan, thanks so much. That worked!
