[Bug] Login screen got smaller with every key stroke

Hi, so just today I noticed a really weird behavior. After starting my PC my login screen took less and less width with every key I pressed (also non-letters like ctrl).

I made a video of the situation (already pressed some keys, so the login form is already pretty small):

Below I also added the output of inxi if there is anything else I can help with I will gladly do so.

My system is also a relatively fresh install (maybe about a week old?) and as of today it is still up to date.

Hello,

Please read the announcement

do the update
the 5.8 kernel is EOL and Gnome is already at 3.38.2 while yours is 3.38.1 …

Thank you for your quick answer! Sorry, I was unaware that there are updates for this already… And I promise, I really did check if there were updates

Also, thank you for noticing my older kernel, will update that as well.

Just now I experienced the same issue again. All updates are installed, I’m currently running kernel version 5.9.11-3.

Anything else I can do/try?
