The lock screen and SDDM are not the same thing. SDDM is your display manager, with a login box. The lock screen is a Plasma component.

In addition to that, you cannot have autologin enabled for more than one user account, and if you choose the “Switch User” option in the login screen, then the system assumes that you are going to be using another user account ─ one that does not (and cannot) have autologin enabled, because you’ve already enabled autologin on your first user account.

So, there is no bug.
