i have installed this printer via cups - system has found the printer - keeps giving the notification that the printer is idle – printer is connected via usb and is on – tried to install the printerdriver via aur - however this gives an error :
→ cupswrapperDCP7030-2.0.2-1.i386.deb uitpakken met bsdtar
→ brdcp7030lpr-2.0.2-1.i386.deb uitpakken met bsdtar

/var/tmp/pamac-build-vivianet/brother-dcp7030/PKGBUILD: regel 38: patch: opdracht niet gevonden

Afbreken…
cups shows the printer (however with driver for dcp7025)
I don’t know what language that is, but I see something about patch
, so I assume you are missing required packages for building from AUR, so install base-devel
and try again.
Sorry I can’t offer any help regarding your other problem.

fyi language is dutch - thank you that did the trick
Is base-devel and git installed? if not run
sudo pacman -Syu base-devel git
and try again.
If you wish english output of your commands just put
LC_ALL=C
in front of the command.
yes installing base-devel i the trick - thank you - weird that base-devel was not installed by default in manjaro
