Brightness on AMD Ryzen 7 4800H

Hello, I’m using Kernel linux-5.11.rc6.d0131.g1048ba8 from Manjaro gitlab in Archlinux on Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and GeForce RTX 2060.

If I select switchable mode for the graphics card in the BIOS and boot from AMD ATI 06: 00.0 Renoir, overwriting

/sys/class/backlight/amdgpu_bl1/brightness

does not change the display brightness. At the same time, if I select a discrete video card in the BIOS, overwriting

/sys/class/backlight/nv_backlight/brightness

changes correctly, although this does not work with the slider from the gnome. Unfortunately, in this mode, the laptop is very quickly discharged, which does not allow me to work normally on the battery. Any solutions for my proccessor/gpu?

I’m not an AMD expert, but saw that you also have the:

Is this card available for display purposes or do you need it for CUDA?

Sorry, I’m not understand your question.

If you don’t understand the question, it means you don’t use CUDA, so try this:

  1. Ensure secure boot is off

  2. execute:

    mhwd --install pci video-hybrid-amd-nvidia-prime

  3. Reboot

  4. Provide the contents of all files in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/

and we’ll take it from there.
