Brave browser update

Using Pamac, attempts to update the Brave browser, multiple times over several days, have all ended with this:

I don’t really understand the problem, and certainly have no idea how to respond to get the update to work. Can anyone help out with this?

Just install the package brave-bin instead of brave.

Brave was recently removed from the official repository as a result you are getting the AUR source version which needs compiling before use. If you want to keep using brave as before without the hassle of compilation search brave-bin and install it. pamac will automatically remove the older version and install the new brave-bin one. You won’t lose any data in this process.
