Cannot Run games on lutris

I am trying to run CIV VI from my windows install in lutris. However the program quits saying no compatible hardware was detected. First time Manjaro user here

Hi @augustushadri, and welcome!

  1. Please see How to provide good information
1.1. If applicable, please see [HowTo] post screenshots and links
  2. Sounds like a driver, or drivers problem, and the info required from the should confirm or deny my suspicions.

There is a native version of Civilization VI.

If you want to run the Windows version, you should do it through compatibility layers optimized for gaming, with Lutris (Epic version), or SteamPlay/Proton. So first things first, what is your hardware exactly (see links above)? How do you try exactly to run the game currently?

The nvidia driver seems to be an old version, i have it updated to the last one in the repo and it’s version: 470.63.01 while yours is 390.144.

Not an expert, but maybe an update might help?

Also as @omano asked how are you trying to run it?
If it’s via steam you could try to change the proton version.
If it’s via epic store there’s other settings.
Did you install it directly on lutris with a script?

I think the driver is not properly compatible with Proton (or other Proton related WINE, like in Lutris), so the support to play Windows games would be very limited.

I think proper support starts at driver 418.

Turns out My Fermi GF108 is not compatible with this. Gaming is on hold for now as i try to get my hands on a new gpu.

Turns out You need the Kepler version of GT 730 to run new games. I just bit the bullet and dual booted windows to play games.
