WiFi toggled when lid is opened, ignoring settings

WiFi is toggled whenever I’m opening the lid of my laptop. Setting “Do Nothing” in the Energy Saving settings doesn’t help. It’s happening on both AC power and battery. Bluetooth is unaffected. I had previously posted about it in this thread but what seemed like a solution stopped working after a few reboots.
