Bluetooth speaker disconnects when audio playback stops

Good day. I have a problen with a bluetooth speaker I just bought, it pairs and play the sounds reproducing in my laptop, but when the audio from a playlist or video stops, or the moment I play another file or youtube video it disconnects. I have to pair it again, or turn off and on the speaker in order to keep playing the audio. How can I keep the speaker connected. even if no audio is playing? thank you in advance.

other devices work ok, like bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Hello,

I would probably switch to pipewire instead of using pulseaudio by installing manjaro-pipewire package, and/or then check if TLP has some influence on that bluetooth dongle … and disable power saving on it.

thank you for the response, I installed pipewire, but the same thing happens, the audio stops playing, after a few minutes when another audio starts, the display shows the device disconneting… I don’t have tlp installed,

is there Any other option that I could try?

In some cases deleting /var/lib/bluetooth folder and then restarting bluetooth.service and reconnect the speakers made things work properly.
On other cases downgrading linux-firmware did the trick.
Can you capture some logs and share them here? Maybe someone will provide better support based on them.

Update:
Just learned about this FS#79044 : [pipewire] loss of audio when using Bluetooth devices and that soon-ish there will be a patch.

Thank you for the responses. i deleted the /var/lib/bluetooth and restarted bluetooth.service reconnected the devices… but its still disconecting when the audio stops maybe its a power saving config
the logs you say are these?

Latest bugfix release for PipeWire (1:0.3.74) is available from Manjaro unstable and testing branches
packages.manjaro.org - pipewire

Switching Branches - Manjaro Wiki

thank you for the response. these days I distro hopped looking for a solution and something new… but after all the formating… Im here again, I just change branches like you said. and the issue continues.
Looks like its driver related to the AX200 bluetooth, for what I have read on different distro forums.
