Bluetooth regularly stops working

Good day,

I have previously already complained that my bluetooth was not working. It happens quite regularly, but I managed to fix it by reinstalling “bluetooth-*” related packages or with a following commands.

Or with following commands:

# rmmod btusb
# rmmod btintel
# systemctl stop bluetooth.service
# modprobe btintel
# modprobe btusb
# systemctl start bluetooth.service

Unfortunately, bluetooth is not working again and non of those workaround are working for me anymore.

I would appreciate an advice. I found couple of places that seems strange.

Why is there a “no default controller” here?

bluetoothctl  ✔
[bluetooth]# Agent registered
[bluetooth]# power on
No default controller available
[bluetooth]#

Or why I can find a device id here?

sudo dmesg | grep -i bluetooth

Hi @skatkov ,
I wonder whether you could read this post in order to solve your problem.
SOLVED Can't init device hci0: Connection timed out (110) after 6.11.1 / Kernel & Hardware / Arch Linux Forums

Hope it help.
Regards,

Same here, with Intel AX200, started about 3-4 weeks ago (might thus be related to stable updates 2024-12-16 or 2024-12-06).

For me, running:

modprobe -r btusb
<wait for a bit>
modprobe btusb

as suggested here revives Bluetooth.

Can’t really put a finger on it when/how it happens exactly, sometimes after sleep/resume, sometimes after a cold start.
