Bluetooth headset not found Manjaro Kernel 6.12.91-1

Hello,

I am a beginner when it comes to Linux in general and Manjaro in particular. Therefore, I am not sure if this is the right channel for my question. Should this topic be posted under “Kernel,” “Audio,” or “Third-Party Software”? Unfortunately, I have no idea.

In advance:
I am happy to provide all the necessary information to solve the problem. However, I do not know exactly what you need. Please feel free to ask!

My problem is as follows:
With kernel 6.18.x, my PC occasionally freezes to the point where only a restart helps. Therefore, I am now testing the LTS kernel 6.12.91-1, which has been running stably so far. However, with 6.18, Bluetooth worked in such a way that my headsets were detected—this is not the case with 6.12. Can you give me any tips on this?

I would use kernel 6.18 if it ran stably. Otherwise, I will stick with the stable 6.12 with Bluetooth support.

Thank you in advance for your help!

This isn’t old - I wonder why we shouldn’t move forward and try the 7.0 kernel (or perhaps even 7.1). You can easily switch with the Manjaro Settings Manager → Kernel.

Linux is a monolithic system - in short - the kernel provides the drivers for your hardware - also meaning - you go for the newest kernel.

Perhaps not the -rc kernels as they are rapidly changing - but the latest stable kernel - at the time of writing 2026-06-01T22:00:00Z this is Linux 7.0

sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux70
