Well this does look a lot like the same issue as everyone else: you use a Nvidia GPU (supposedly with the proprietary driver) with an EOL kernel. The driver for that kernel has been long dropped from the repository, and a recent update logically removed it from your system.
I apologize for not looking through the logs properly and following the protocol.
How can I reinstall this Kernel ?
No worries, that’s how people learn.
This kernel version, you can’t, as it is not maintained anymore.
You need to install a maintained kernel – if you don’t want to bother upgrading it every few months, go for a LTS one – and then you will be able to install the driver for that version.
Since you still have a liveUSB, you can chroot from it, and then:
sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux510
sudo mhwd-kernel -r linux56
sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300
That’s because you obviously didn’t read the tutorial linked by the person requesting information. That’s disrespectful to the kind volunteers that opted to help you.
That kernel was EOL (End Of Life) in June 2020. Manjaro supports the current 5.XX series, install a supported kernel from Manjaro Settings Manager.
So I did as you asked, and here’s the output :-
[manjaro@manjaro ~]$ sudo manjaro-chroot -a
==> Mounting (ManjaroLinux) [/dev/sda2]
--> mount: [/mnt]
--> mount: [/mnt/boot/efi]
[manjaro /]# sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux510

Hey @maycne.sonahoz so I solved the error involving locked databases, just deleted the db.lck and now this is the output :-

In case this helps.
What should I do next ?
You have the 5.9 kernel installed, which is also EOL. It must be removed.
Careful, you tried to remove the 5.10 kernel.
On the plus side though, this shows that you have the linux-latest package installed, which has been dropped eons ago. Let’s also remove it.
sudo mhwd-kernel -r linux59
sudo pacman -S --asexplicit linux10
sudo pacman -R linux-latest
sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300
Done, What next ?
… What’s the result?
No error from the commands?
No improvement?
I’ll let you know in a few minutes.
I’m having internet connection issues.
Kernel is still 5.6
the internet here is too slow.
i understood what you asked me to do that day, I’ll implement it.
i apologize again for any retardedness on my end.
thanks.
I removed 5.6 however it shows that 5.6 is still running.
