After the last update, I couldn’t get passed the splash screen.
I reach black screen with
Failed to start Samba NMB Daemon
Failed to start Samba SMB Daemon
I tried switching to another tty, and startx, but would get
error in locking authority file .Xauthority
I tried deleting .Xauthority, but it didn’t work.
I tried chrooting but btrfs doesn’t work with manjaro-chroot.
So finally I tried to use timeshift from the other tty, but start getting no disk space error despite having +50 GB
I’m not sure how to proceed now.
Any help is appreciated.
UPDATE:
I’ve deleted some data and freed up another 50 GB, and manged to boot back again.
I’ve updated the system again and rebooted and it everything work now.
I’ll try to upgrade the kernel to 6.12 and check again.
Things seem to work now.
I guess I had corrupted update or the last kernel had something messing up my config.
I was surprised to know that btrfs didn’t support manjaro-chroot.
And you need extra space for snapshots to work.
