Battery - red cross, no boot on 5.4

My battery is weak, that is a fact.
I had noticed that when the capacity was ca 50% my Dell could act unstable, meaning slowed down a bit, yet a simple reboot did the trick.

Now the battery is ca 28% capacity.
Yesterday I updated Manjaro KDE, today I updated W 10 as I dual-boot.

All of a sudden I am unable to go past the Manjaro logo, I cannot see the login stage when on Kernel 5.4

When I reboot and choose the Kernal 4.4 I am able to see my desktop however it is acting weird - the Firefox seems faster than ever but the rest of my programmes loads very long.

The battery icon is there but with a Red Cross addition.
I cannot remove the battery myself as this requires removing the back of my Dell the professional way [sighs]

I guess there is a fix, isn’t there? Beside getting a new battery…

I have temporarily fixed the issue by disabling the battery Adaptive Mode in BIOS and changing it to Primarily AC Power.
