After doing updates, powerdevil no longer works for me. Secondary display that maybe causing issues is an Apple cinema display. The brightness has never been controllable via software, and I do not care if it is or not… but I need to be able to have power management settings. Can this be blacklisted or something so that powerdevil starts? Is there something else going on here?

Thanks.

It’s a known issue and it has already been reported at KDE upstream. For now, the solution is to downgrade the package.

sudo pacman -S manjaro-downgrade
sudo manjaro-downgrade powerdevil

Then reboot.

What version do I have to downgrade to? Whatever version I downgraded to still doesn’t work.

5.27.9, .8, .7… none work. I don’t think downgrading is the solution. Thanks.

See if this link helps…

This seems to have worked. Thank you.
