Backlight not adjusting to backlight settings

I have recently switched to Manjaro GNOME (from Ubuntu), so the install very fresh. Since I installed it at night, I immediately ran into this issue: I can’t change the backlight brightness from the maximum brightness.

Whether I use function keys or any of the below commands, the brightness setting says it is changed, but the brightness stays on full.

echo 5 | sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
xbacklight -25
gdbus call --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/Power --method org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Set org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power.Screen Brightness "<int32 50>"

I have already tried adding these kernel options:

acpi_backlight=video
acpi_backlight=vendor
acpi_backlight=native
acpi_backlight=none
i915.enable_dpcd_backlight=1

But none of them seem to change anything.

Does anyone have an idea how I could fix this?

Seems to have been an issue in the 5.9 kernel. Upgrading to 5.10 solved this problem.
