AUR package installed not stored in cache?

#1

Hello,

When a package is built from AUR and installed it is not stored in /var/cache/pacman/pkg directory. Is this normal?

When an AUR package installs some dependencies, will all these dependencies also be stored in the directory mentioned above?

Thanks for your information.

Which tool do you use to install AUR package?

#3

Pamac with AUR support enabled.

Look at /tmp/pamac-build-$username/$packagename

Anyway I’m using a custom folder to save all AUR packages in a different place

#5

Yes. You can set the output directory in /etc/makepkg.conf (set PKGDEST).

From the repo, yes. From the AUR, see above.

#6

Also set SRCDEST when you’re at it.
