It’s tested. But why not modify the pacman-mirrors package if it comes from majaro arm rather than making a new manjaro-tools-base package specifically for arm ? And if this is the case you might as well import the other 2 parts of manjaro-tools. It might be useful to someone.
sudo mount /dev/sdd2 /mnt
sudo mount /dev/sdd1 /mnt/boot
manjaro-chroot /mnt
exit
sudo umount /dev/sdd2
sudo umount /dev/sdd1
Thanks for testing. I will push them to the testing/unstable branches.
manjaro-arm-tools is our version of x86 manjaro-tools. Looking at some differences manjaro-arm-tools uses some of the packages in manjaro-tools with a little bit of a name change. manjaro-arm-tools uses systemd-nspawn to mount with. There was some talk about a year and a half ago for iso as it seems some devices may support booting an iso but that never came to happen. I am guessing since I could not find the aarch84 PKGBUILD for manjaro-tools-base some one may have requested the package at some point but the PKGBUILD never got pushed to our git.
can we check with dependency-checker why manjaro-tools-base is even in ARM? [pkg-upd] 4.24.0+1+g018442f-1 (94076514) · Commits · Packages / Core / pacman-mirrors · GitLab
Nothing depends on it. @spikerguy authored it in June of 2020.
Phosh applications did not respect the theming preference after this update (not even the Settings app respected the light vs dark preference set within it).
Narrowed down the issue to xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
version 1.15.0-1
. Downgrading this package to 1.14.1-1
brings back respect of dark theme preference.
kodi (kodi-20.0-7-aarch64 from extra-repo) does not start up anymore due to missing dependency:
$ kodi
/usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libdav1d.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
$
this problem is present since some testing updates before, i forgot to report earlier. Is this kodi-package with no device-specific acceleration not supported anymore?
I rebuilt kodi and pushed the packages to the unstable branch when the mirrors sync. You must move to unstable and update there as it is built with the latest libs there.
