This happens after changing from kernel 5.4 to 5.10.
After reboot and login everything is fine. But once screen get automatically locked and after login get a black screen with only visible mouse pointer.
If terminal was open and focus was of it before screen lock, I can start an application that has an UI like ms vs code or Firefox then the screen is re-draw and everything is fine again. When screen gets auto locked, then it get same issue.
I have tried things found in other topics like update repo mirrors, update system, clean .cache/, changed back to kernel 5.4, but nothing helps.
I read other similar topics but nothing worked so far.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

What happens if you change to kernel 6.1 or 6.6? (current iterations)

thanks for your reply.
Installed 6.1 and tried it, but same issue.
I use KDE; it’s been a while since using Xfce, so all I could do is guess. However, more information may improve things.
Could you post the output of:
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
This will give others enough information to start with. Good luck.

Hi, the issue persists, but like to report what I have done so far.
Deleted the $HOME/.config folder and that “fixed” the issue: Screen is re-drawn after lock > login
but everything looks ugly and “not configured” of course.
Then started to reconfigure all manually: Wallpaper, Panel, Whisker, etc. and at some point the problem re-appeared.
At that point I had the feeling it has to do with the light-locker, so decided to remove it and install/config xfce4-screensaver.
This fixed the problem after lock > login
but the problem happens after suspend > wake > login
Now I am exhausted of this issue and considering to re-install either xfce or entire Manjaro.
Are there any logs that I can look to try to figure out the source of the problem?

Finally, I re-installed Manjaro. Now everything runs fine.
First of all you will have to revert on kernel 5.4, update the system, and clear. cache to address the black screen post-login following auto-lock on kernel 5.10. And then launch an application with UI focus after login for a temporary fix.
The OP has solved the issue by performing a complete reinstall. Anything any of us could add now is probably irrelevant.
