Anyone else having microphone problems after todays update?

Just curious if anyone else has any issues after todays update. Tried kernel 5.15 and 5.19 but my Mic is still not detected on my BT600. It was working fine prior to today. It is not even detected now.

The headset definitely can be seen and audio playback is still fine:

lsusb sees it:

Any ideas what changed? Note that no recording devices are seen at all when they used to be there.

Digging deeper. Maybe someone has some ideas. It is the Plantronics USB headset.

Note I am running Manjaro KDE.

you are running boht pulse and pipewire, so use only one of them; install pipewire:
pamac install manjaro-pipewire
it will give you pulse dependency issues, so remove them first, then run the command again, select wireplumber during install, reboot and test

I had to remove Pulse to do that. Now I have no audio at all.

Also JACK2 is required package, so I cannot install Pipewire Jack.

Everything is messed up now.

If I try to remove Pipewire, it wants to uninstall KDE.

:: pipewire-jack and jack2 are in conflict (jack). Remove jack2? [y/N]

error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)

Yes, it is completely messed up now. Can’t put Pulseaudio back because of Jack2

I got sound back, but the volume control in KDE is missing. I can use Alsamixer to adjust volume

For the future, Pipewire and Jack2 are not compatible.

i gave you the correct instruction, you should have followed them …
post output from:
pacman -Qs pulse
pacman -Qs pipewire

Thanks for the help, but I gave up. If I didn’t need it for work, I would have continued for a while. That and combined with another issue where I wanted to claw back 500GB from Windows, but Windows was telling me I could only do 100GB due to ‘unmoveable objects’ (translation == their secret hive) already had this system slated for a rebuild, but on a weekend, just not so soon. It would be a lot easier to just expand things if Windows didn’t already eat 3 Primary partitions leaving you with only a 4th which was already occupied by an extended partition for Manjaro and swap. Not OK MS, but a lot of what they do is not OK.

Things tried:
Anyway, I did make it look identical to my laptop for installed packages (fresh install there using default packages) before I gave up, but never did get the KDE audio icon back. I tried to use the phonon gui to change it to use Pulseaudio, but even though the daemon was running and functioning with audio, it said invalid audio source?? Anyway, stopped messing with it.

It is what it is. It just moved up my rebuild probably by a week and a half.
