I’m not sure what’s happening, this happens all the time. Whenever I play a game I have to be sure to run it on windowed mode, as if I play the game in fullscreen or borderless mode, it will eventually freeze the game and lock me from doing anything other than forcing my laptop to shut down. I don’t know anything about checking all that sudo command stuff other than a few simple things, so I’m at a loss on how to fix this. I really just want to play my games in fullscreen mode. Is this a problem with KDE? Is the Gnome version better? How do I fix this because I’m not sure how I can move to another distro without losing the files I have on KDE.

also try disabling compositor with this shortcut: alt+shift+f12 and test playing a game if it freezes
Also might be the games themselves. So I ask, what games? Have you checked resources while playing? Does Ctrl-Alt-Esc work to shut down the app?
