Error [install basepkgs][255] During Architect install of desktop environment

Hi all,

I am having issues with installing Manjaro via Architect. The installation fails when starting the installation of Manjaro desktop environment. The ISO I am using is the latest XFCE from the Manjaro downloads (20.2.1). I am installing architect through this iso rather than the dedicated architect ISO as this is the more up to date version.

When I update mirror list during the preinstall I do get some verbose messaging but I do no think it is related, but will add them below as reference.

The error I get is Error [install basepkgs][255]

The terminal then show more information after this error:

Error [install basepkgs][255]

When selecting kernel - don’t select linux-latest - select linux511 instead

I did try removing the latest but it then just gave me the same error but with lts. I removed that and then same issue with 5.12 so I thought there was another issue causing these that I missed. Simply selecting base and 5.11 though did work thank you. Although I now have issues with the display not starting on boot, Im just left with a flashing cursor icon that I need to Ctrl+alt+f2 to get a terminal login screen and run startx from there. I also don’t see a grub bootloader (I did install it successfully) and it goes straight to Manjaro stopping me being able to dual boot into windows now. However I will create new topics for these issues rather than clutter this thread with offtopic questions.

Thanks for your help
