Hi! As the title says, I lost my audio after an update.
As it seems I have two Audio cards:

Audio was working for years and I have not changed any Hardware.
Can someone tell me how and where should I start to find the problem? Thanks

What do pactl info and pactl list cards short print?

If your machine is still using the device that was working previously it might be worth testing if sound returns after switching between HiFi channels, my audio vanished after an update a couple days ago and that fixed it.

I normally used HiFi 7.1 channels which suddenly gave no output, after switching to HiFi 2.0 channels and then straight back to 7.1 sound was working again.

I found the problem!
In the device selection (loudspeaker symbol in task bar) the output was set to SPDIF.
I have no idea how is that happened as I have not opened this menu for years… Now I set it back to HDMI (my Monitor has speakers) and now I have sound.
Thanks for your help and suggestions!
