After previous big update, boot randomly stops at "running cleanup hook [udev]" to wait for anykey

I think it started happening after the prvious big upodate – might’ve been one before that – but I’ve been having these weird stops at the beginning of start-up at:

:: mounting
'UUID=564935af-3006-485e-9671-c9597f5e97b2' on real root
:: running late hook [plymouth]
:: running cleanup hook [udev]

And it just stays there until I press a key, after which it continues normally. This does not happen on every start. Maybe every 10th or so, but can be two in a row or might not happen in a longer while.

While not a big issue, it’s really annoying to power up the system, leave for a while, and then come back to find it stalled there. Plus I like to learn new things, so I’m interested in knowing what it could be.
