Thank you. After that change to session settings, the computer does shut down; but there is a delay after clicking shut down now and a message that reads [ 25.741035] spi-nor spi0.0:software reset failed -524
I might have part of it wrong because I had to write it down fairly quickly.
Also, although I didn’t check all the other machines here running Manjaro, the one laptop I checked and which shut downs and restarts normally, has the second option selected of “When session was manually saved”.
What does this mean? I have two desktops and three laptops running Manjaro KDE, all up to date, and all with this setting; why will only this machine not shut down?
I’m not suggesting that your information is not correct, but would like to understand and be able to explain it if asked why there is a difference.
