I’m a big fan of the epub format, I actually make my own e-books.
While doing some research, I discovered an application called “libgepub” : Simple library to read epub files using glib.
I tried to search on the web, but couldn’t find anything about its use.
If any of you know about this library and its use, I’d like to hear from you.

libgepub is only required by gnome-books and gnome-documents. It won’t do you much good on KDE (if you profile is up to date). Perhaps see List of applications - ArchWiki
