Inkscape shows English text giberish in one user profile only

In my Manjaro KDE Plasma, when I type English text in Inkscape, it shows gibberish. I tried the same thing on the same computer but a different profile, and it works perfectly fine. What could I have messed up?

Thanks. It helped. For some reason, there was a stroke applied to the text and no fill color. No stroke color and giving it a color fill solved the issue. Would have not been able to solve this on my own. Thanks again.
