I have just installed Manjaro Stable with KDE on my LG17 Gram Pro (2024). Works perfectly well (even with sound), HOWEVER, my Journal gets flooded with ACPI Errormessages:
Aug 07 16:02:11 ernie kernel: ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XIN1] (00000000616c5e9b) [UserDefinedRegion] (20240322/evregion-126)
Aug 07 16:02:11 ernie kernel: ACPI Error: Region UserDefinedRegion (ID=143) has no handler (20240322/exfldio-261)
Aug 07 16:02:11 ernie kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.LPCB.H_EC.DPTF.SNRD due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20240322/psparse-529)
Aug 07 16:02:11 ernie kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.IETM.SEN2._TMP due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST) (20240322/psparse-529)
Aug 07 16:02:11 ernie kernel: thermal thermal_zone3: Temperature check failed (-5)
This error blocks appears multiple times per second.
I could find a few similar things online, but none else than “bios update” (which is not available) to fix it.
How can I recover/repair this? What might be the problem?
The error occurred with default install, I switched meanwhile to tlp for power management, but no change.
I assume that he cannot find certain thermal sensors, but no clue where to configure that.
Thank you for your help.
