I am very new to Linux, just about a week in. I installed Manjaro on an old Intel NUC which had two disks, one is a 16 GB boot disk, and the other a 1 TB storage disk. The big drive was originally an HDD, so the 16gig SSD was there so Windows could boot faster. I replaced the HDD with an SSD before installing Manjaro - and I had thought I installed in on the big drive. I’ve just realized, though, that it is not.
So as things stand, the system is installed and running on the smaller drive. I have about 750MB left on that disk. The larger disk is formatted, mounted, and usable. Everything is running great right now. However, I am sure that I will run into space issues quickly and often if I leave it as is.
I know I have at least two options: 1) start over and install on the bigger drive, 2) try to clone the system and move it all over. Between the two, I likely would start over. But I am wondering whether there are less disruptive options. For example, could I clone the file system partition on the smaller drive and move it to the bigger drive, leaving the boot partition on the smaller drive? Or just leave what’s running on the small drive happily on there, but make sure any new packages/downloads, etc go to the bigger drive?
Here’s a screenshot of the partitions on the smaller drive (partition 1 is the boot partition, partition 2 is everything else):
Maybe this sounds convoluted, and I know I am not ALL that deep in, but for a bunch of reasons I would like not to have to start over.
I’d just like to point out that 16G is not really enough for / even on a fairly minimal system these days. You can run Linux in much less than that, of course, but I’d probably just use that space for swap and install the system on the larger drive.
While there may technically be ways to overcome your situation, the easiest is to start from scratch, and be more observant.
As a self-confessed newb, with limited Linux experience generally, this is logically your best path forward; certainly the fastest.
You should be able to copy any data you wish to keep to another location, and restore it later.
If you list the bunch of reasons in detail others might be able to suggest ways to overcome them.
Note that withholding information generally isn’t helpful to anyone wishing to assist; which is why we ask you to provide basic system information as described below.

Thanks for the replies - it turned out that it “solved” itself anyway. The system stopped booting this morning, so I had to reinstall. I just disabled the Optane drive, and it’s all working on the bigger SSD.
