I have been having trouble connecting RPI to my home’s 5G wifi network. It was never connected/shown on the RPI as available network connections, only 2G networks. I tried to troubleshoot and found that my router’s wifi 5G channel was set to 139. I manually set it to a different channel such as 34 and found now RPI can see my wifi 5G. So this may be a bug where channel like 139 are not scanned for connection.
This can be an issue with your country code setup.
On Manjaro we don’t set any by default.
