Did an update yesterday, now the system wont boot:
- 5.9: starts to boot, but stays in text mode. Ctrl + Alt + Del does trigger a normal reboot.
- 5.8 & 5.7: enter emergency mode and freeze. Neither react to Ctrl +D nor Ctrl + Alt + Del. NumLock is also dead.
Did boot into the parallel 18.04 installation and did a check on the Manjaro drive, same result.
cries for help
Hi @silvan
Could be the same issue like here, if you use nvidia:
Kernel 5.9 seems not to support 440xx driver and now there is a conflict. Install 450xx or 455xx

I did have to remove cuda and linux-latest-nvidia-440x first:
sudo pacman -R linux-latest-nvidia-440xx cuda
sudo mhwd -r pci video-nvidia-440xx
sudo mhwd -i pci video-nvidia-455xx
Then it even started the session without a reboot
