I am the developer behind the Navi reset patch. This patch has not been submitted upstream as it has the potential to cause system instability and perhaps even damage hardware as the reset procedure is not complete or fully understood. This has been noted and stated repeatedly over the past year both in the forum where this patch comes from and on other sites.
It is NOT production-ready, and until AMD comes to the table and helps make this patch reliable and safe for all hardware it will not be recommended for production use anywhere.
Please remove and blacklist the inclusion of this patch in your kernels, once the patch is stable it will be submitted upstream to be included into the mainstream kernel.
