Impossible push to
« on: 13. March 2014, 13:03:20 »

I'm impossible push to my repo on, ssh key added and not marker read-only.Where problem?

[spoiler][alx@manjaro-alx manjaro-user-guide-fix]$ git push origin
warning: push.default is unset; its implicit value is changing in
Git 2.0 from 'matching' to 'simple'. To squelch this message
and maintain the current behavior after the default changes, use:

  git config --global push.default matching

To squelch this message and adopt the new behavior now, use:

  git config --global push.default simple

When push.default is set to 'matching', git will push local branches
to the remote branches that already exist with the same name.

In Git 2.0, Git will default to the more conservative 'simple'
behavior, which only pushes the current branch to the corresponding
remote branch that 'git pull' uses to update the current branch.

See 'git help config' and search for 'push.default' for further information.
(the 'simple' mode was introduced in Git 1.7.11. Use the similar mode
'current' instead of 'simple' if you sometimes use older versions of Git)'s password:

I think Phil has to give you permission first.  I was having similar issues when creating a new artwork repo.

You're probably attempting to push over HTTP, and you can only push over SSH on Manjaro's git. Change your remote URL to the SSH counterpart.

cd to "manjaro-user-guide-fix" and then run this command.

Code: [Select]
git remote set-url origin
Then try to push as normally.  ;D

Alternatively, you may have had some trouble while you were setting up your SSH key. This has been happening quite a bit, because the tutorial on how to do it at github leaves out a step that when not used causes this error. So if the above doesn't work for you, then try this.

Code: [Select]
cd ~/.ssh
eval $(ssh-agent)
ssh-add id_rsa

Now try to run git push normally.  ;) One of these should get you fixed up.
